Finally after some time, im back! Back from a 4 day 4 night camp. Still a bit tired cos did not really sleep much. Overall, the camp was so fun but tiring.
1st Jan: I reached school near 7pm to stay overnight. GuoHong and Bernard came shortly after. We slacked and played. Played soccer with my ex-camper Raynald and his frens. The night was young. EG room was the place we spent our night!! Played CounterStrike and Dota till 1am! Still a bit noob at these games, I still prefer Maple =D.
2nd Jan, Admin Day: We woke up early to prepare for the campers who are coming. only 3h of sleep...but was quite energized when we cheered people into the school. My campers were so sian and unwilling during the 1st day, as always. We sat through those talks as usual, a bit boring. Many campers chose the same subject combi as me, which is Physics, Chem, Maths and H1 Econs. I saw their result slips. In my OG got twins, look quite alike. Both score same points for Prelim, and their Maths is IMBA. 1 of them, Eugene, got 99 for both A and E Maths. When i saw it, I was like OMGWTH. He was 2nd in HuaYi Sec. The other twin scored 90+ for both Maths too. I saw many A1s, but none of my camper had less den 11 points. My OG had 6 OGLs, but ZhiHao, the Family 4 Head, kena food poisoning and fever, so he cant come. Left 5. It wasnt easy to bond the campers. They kept asking me when can they leave. Can see that they dun really wanna stay much longer. =/ After they left, we practised the Family Dance again. It was a bit rush but we had to learn the dance fast for JJ night.
3rd Jan, Camp Day 1: Campers came in with their bulky stuff. They were a bit easier to communicate. Since I was Food Attach, I had to prepare their meals beforehand. Couldnt play much games =/ However, being a food attach is also fun. Friends coming in to KS food and help =D. Lunch and Dinner was so chiong. Lucky my food spot only for Family 4, at the Kbox there. I was appointed Food-IC, which had more tasks... Night games was fun, and I could only participate in the Song Singing Session for a while....had to prepare supper. Lucky didnt stay for the Emo part or I will feel emo all that. My campers slept in the classrooms for the 1st day. Only managed to sleep 2 hours. 25 degrees was too warm, and 23 degrees was freezing. Shivering like siao in the morning.
4th Jan, Camp Day 2: I had to prepare breakfast, and managed to skip the morning PT =D. Managed to play a bit of TeleMatch and mass dance...had to prepare lunch. Tried my best to find time to bond with my OG despite those food duties. Campers were more high, and I have to thank those OGLs for these...especially Gary, the Assistant Family Head. ZhiHao cant come, so Gary had heavier duties...couldnt really see him smiling. I cant go for Kinetic Warfare as I had to prepare dinner...Avoided getting tanned =x. Many J2 and seniors came to help preparation, job was much easier. My OGLs, JunCheng and JunJie came to assist me, and asked to to bond with my campers instead of preparing the food. Thats my OGLs, even when I am not their camper anymore, they still cared for me =D. JJ night was next, and we had to do the Family Dance. 1st time on stage showing the audience..summore i had to tank, in front of me got nothing. Feared doing the wrong steps, but I overcame it...another experience, I leveled up! Cheered a lot although my voice gone lol. Mass Dance was really high. My camper danced with me. I high until I siao liao. so squeezy. Chicken Dance was chaotic. After the dance, I had to prepare supper, so I had to rush down, skipping the Emo part. when I was going out of the hall, GuoZheng suddenly appeared and shocked me lol. He is high. dam high. Saw YQ also, and many of my frens at JJ night. I prepared supper with YunXiang, and GZ and his fren helped. Once we finished preparation, we sat, chat, joked. GZ was high and sang Jay Chou's songs. Nice voice. I was giving out the bread, when my campers randomly cheered for me. Stunned for the moment. I could see them more bonded and more open. After supper, the campers went off to sleep in the hall, and I stayed with GZ outside Kbox. since the hall was full, GZ and his fren had to sleep at the GrandStand. spooky and cold. The OGLs were preparing the OG gifts, and everyone was awake. Seniors joined us. They were really dam funny. Enjoyed the time with them. It was 3am and we were still finishing some stuff. When it was done, we went to search for space to sleep in the hall. Suay suay sleep beside 1 camper who keep on snoring loudly. Fatigue put me to sleep, but only managed to sleep for around 2 hours.
5th Jan, Camp Day 3: I had to prepare breakfast, and was half awake. Had little sleep and was blur most of the time during the camp. Saw GZ sleeping on 1 of the benches alongside the corridor. He left early in the morning with his fren. After clearing up breakfast, I rushed for E-web. Lucky I got a bit of voice back. It was emo and I could see some cry. We went to the hall for song singing and more emo stuff. Mr Leow with his emo speech. Many cried. I almost teared. We gave campers the OG gifts, and they wrote words on a paper for individual OGLs. so touching words and stuff. words of thanks. den got 1 funny camper special one got own paper and he fold nicely lol. He always calls me boss, dunno y. "Thanks Boss". Although I spent little time with them, I could remember their faces and names. They have changed since the day they came in. Many of them took OGL forms. I could see some potential ones. Finally, it was time to break camp. We gave them the Orientation shirt and package. We exchanged numbers and contacts so we can still keep in touch. Hope to see them in school on monday!
After so many words, I realised time is short. Chem Test on Monday, and I am still tired from the camp. The feeling of missing someone is back. Miss my campers. hope they do well in O levels and stay in jj =D. For now, Im gonna chiong till A Levels!!
